Matvii’s father gave his life while carrying out a combat mission on September 11, 2024. He once said, “It is better for me to go than for my children to go later.” He was remembered as a brave, courageous, and strongwilled man who made the ultimate sacrifice out of love for his family and his country. Matvii currently lives with his mother and his older brother, who is two years older than he is. His mother is an English teacher at a private school. Matvii currently studies in middle school. He is an active boy who enjoys playing football, computer games, riding his bicycle, building with LEGO, playing chess, and solving puzzles.
