My Story

Roy lives in a remote mountain area where living conditions are harsh, and life has not been easy for his family. In 2019 during a family conflict, Roy's father accidentally caused the death of his brother-in-law and was later sentenced to life imprisonment. Since then, Roy has grown up without his father at home and now lives with his mother, his younger brother, and his grandmother. Roy's mother does not have a job, so much of the responsibility for supporting the family has fallen on his grandmother. Roy's grandmother is in poor health. Roy's mother hopes to find work and earn some income to help ease the burden on the family. This family has gone through much suffering, yet there is still a light that has not gone out. After Roy's grandmother came to know the Lord in 2017, evangelism remained close to her heart, and she also led her son, daughter, and daughter-in-law to turn to the Lord. Roy is doing well in school, like a small tree growing in the mountain wind—though it has endured cold and barrenness, it still strives to grow upward.
