Ivy was born in 2016. From the time of her birth, her father suffered from chronic cerebral hemorrhages, leaving him physically weak for many years. In 2019, he passed away suddenly. Just a year later, in 2020, Ivy’s mother, overwhelmed by the heavy burdens of life, left the family. Since then, Ivy has lived alone with her grandmother.
Tragedy struck the family even earlier—her grandfather, a former stomach cancer patient, had already passed away in 2017. Now, Ivy’s grandmother, the sole caregiver. The family currently survives on very modest government welfare.
Ivy is a quiet and introverted child. She seldom speaks and finds it difficult to engage with others. However, she performs well in school and is diligent in her studies.
