Seth was taken in by his aunt immediately after birth because his mother, who has a congenital intellectual disability, is unable to care for him or herself. At the same time, Seth’s father was hospitalized due to a relapse of his mental illness. Seth’s aunt, already caring for two children of her own, had no choice but to call Seth’s grandmother back from her job in another city to help take care of him.
To make matters worse, Seth’s aunt has recently developed depression due to overwhelming stress and had to quit her job to rest at home.
