Maksym stays active through his love for sports. His father served as a gunner in the Marines. While on the battlefield, he sustained non-life-threatening injuries, but tragically lost his life to artillery fire. He left behind his wife and two children—Maksym and his younger sister, Olena—both of whom are now part of our sponsorship program.
