At the age of seven, Jonah’s mother, who had an intellectual disability, fell outside during the winter and froze to death. Sadly, Jonah’s father suffered and died from a brain hemorrhage. Since then, Jonah and his brother have lived with their elderly grandparents who have shouldered all the living expenses, depending on farming for their livelihoods. Due to financial constraints, Jonah chose a vocational school over a prestigious college.
